A Message from our Rush Chairmen

 

To the Prospective Member,

             

          On behalf of our brothers in Sigma Chi, we hope that you have learned a little more about fraternity life and Sigma Chi by viewing this website. Most of all, we hope this will encourage to go through rush and explore the entire Greek System at Troy University.

          Joining a fraternity is one of the best ways you can enhance your college education. What you learn from your professors in the classroom, and what you learn by studying on your own are certainly worthwhile, but there are countless lessons you will learn only through daily association with other students. Being in a fraternity allows this type of association on a very personal level. 

          It is not my place to tell you that Sigma Chi is the best fraternity for you. That is a conclusion only you can reach for yourself. Maybe this website has given you some insight as to what Sigma Chi stands for, but nothing can substitute your visiting the Sigma Chi house, talking with Sigma Chi brothers, and comparing us to other fraternities. I am confident that the decision you make - whether it be to join Sigma Chi or another fraternity, or even not to join one at all - will be the right decision for you. This is an individual, personal matter, and it is one that will affect the rest of your life. I do hope that you will give Sigma Chi and the fraternity system the honor of having you participate in rush. 

          Rush can be an enjoyable experience, but it can also be hectic and confusing. We want you to know that you do not have to limit what you learn about Sigma Chi to just viewing this website or just being at a rush event. Please feel welcome to visit the Sigma Chi house any time of the day or night. Better yet, get in touch with me or any other Sigma Chi brother. We are easy to find and always eager to talk about the Fraternity that means so much to us. We all appreciate your considering Sigma Chi as your choice, your home away from home and your guide for the future.
